RES is a specialist urban drainage and environmental consultancy for all wastewater network, river, and integrated catchments. They are a trusted partner to key water industry stakeholders such as water authorities, local authorities and developers and champion ethical standards across the industry.
RES has a longstanding relationship with CIWEM. They share our values and those of our members and they have been active in CIWEM’s conferences and seminars over the years, in particular with CIWEM’s Urban Drainage Group. We are delighted to see them in-person again this week our annual Urban Drainage conference in Birmingham. Our partnership with RES will enable us to build on our relationship and work together to support professional excellence.
Jane Boland, Partnerships Manager at CIWEM said, “Together we will enhance the professional status of RES Environmental staff and strengthen their trusted profile in the water and environmental sector.”
Our first initiative will see the development of the first CIWEM accredited professional development scheme at RES, with a bespoke suite of training tailored to the needs of their business. RES already offer a strong training programme for new hires, and we will work with them to build on this to support the team’s ongoing professional development.
Jason Drake, Director at RES Environmental, said “We have become partners with CIWEM to help us, as a small but growing company, give our team of talented individuals a clear progression pathway in their training and development, and to further strengthen the reputation RES Environmental have developed in the sector.”
CIWEM will provide RES employees with access and support for their professional development that is on-demand, as well as develop bespoke mentor training sessions that support routes towards professional recognition.
Darren Eckford, Director of CIWEM’s Learning, Development and Partnerships, said “We look forward to supporting the development of RES Environmental’s Professional Development Scheme and facilitating access to the diversity of training that will support their path to chartership.”
A partnership with CIWEM demonstrates a commitment in joining our aim of working towards a safer, more sustainable world. Together, we promote professional excellence, environmental best practice, and safeguard the health of people and nature for current and future generations.
