CIWEM announces new partnership with Arcadis 

Arcadis, a leading global Design & Consultancy firm for natural and built assets, has been formally announced as a CIWEM business partner. Arcadis’ purpose is simple: improving quality of life. Today, in an ever-changing world, that purpose has never been more important. Through its projects, in communities and in work for clients, Arcadis enhances human experiences and fosters personal, societal, and business growth.

This partnership is particularly timely and important to both CIWEM and Arcadis as we work together to develop a Community of Practice for Property and Flood Resilience (PFR) collaboratively. PFR includes a range of property-based measures designed to increase protection from flooding and flood related damage as well as improving recovery and reoccupation following a flood.

The approach is still relatively new and by helping to standardise and scale up PFR projects across the country we can provide long-term protection for communities at risk from flooding. Arcadis’ recent acquisition of digital dashboard software HydroNET highlights its ambition to embrace digital solutions, and enables Arcadis to share its vision of how data analytics can help water managers make smarter, faster decisions and maximise our impact for communities and nature.

A business partnership with CIWEM demonstrates Arcadis’ commitment in joining our aim of working towards a safer, more sustainable world. CIWEM business partners are dedicated to environmental best practice and safeguarding the health of people and nature for current and future generations.
