You can expect Thursdays to get a lot more interesting from now on.
Season 4 of the Planet Possible Podcast launches today, kicking off with an episode on all things rewilding and nature recovery. Host Niki Roach and guest co-host, Sara King from Rewilding Britain, are joined by Tony Juniper CBE, Chair of Natural England to discuss the state of nature recovery in England and developments at COP15 last December in Montreal.
Rewilding is allowing nature to sustain itself, promoting thoughtful biodiversity and ecosystems. Rewilding Britain aims to be a catalyst for rewilding across 30% of the UK’s land and seas. Rather than a particular endpoint in terms of species or habitat recovery, it’s about allowing nature to directly lead the way without steering from humans.
Tony Juniper CBE, the Chair of Natural England, is passionate about repairing nature as it underpins all the extreme climate challenges we face. In the episode, you can hear Tony talk about legacy conservation within England and how conserving remnant wildlife is not enough.
Season 4 will explore episodes on regenerative agriculture, the role of future generations, as well as discussing the impact of COP27 in Egypt last November.
