Climate change stress-testing guidance

This useful, non-technical guidance is targeted at organisations that could benefit from climate change stress testing

The Climate Change Committee has warned that many of the organisations providing vital energy, water, digital and transport services in the UK were struggling to take account of the climate-related risks to highly-connected infrastructure systems, and that that could lead to the ‘cascade failures’ if left unaddressed. This guidance helps address that struggle in the water industry.

This Guidance has been developed by CIWEM’s Climate Change specialist panel. Thanks to Ian Corder for leading its development and to Cara Labuschagne, Richard Pagett, Maria Sunyer, Ian Tarplee and Anna Tuddenham for their contributions.

It aims to support components of our Climate and Ecological Emergency Declaration, empowering our members and their organisations.
