We are currently looking for new members to join some of our
policy panels
Our Specialist Policy Panels are advisory groups, each focusing
on a specific topic. Their focus spans the water and environment sector, from flooding,
to climate change, water resources and land management, representing the
breadth of expertise of our members.
Joining a Policy Panel is a great way to connect with peers
who are experts in the same field as you, work on your continuing professional
development (CPD), and contribute to our mission of finding widespread,
impactful water and environmental solutions, by guiding our policy work.
The panels we are recruiting for are:
What’s expected of you
The panels meet three to four times a year, virtually or
hybrid, to discuss changes in policy and key issues in the field. The panels
create Policy
Position Statements and support our policy projects.
Panel members are expected to have an interest in
contributing to policy-related discussions and should have more than ten years
of experience working in the topic area. Members join as individual
professionals, not as representatives of their employer.
We are actively working to make our panels more diverse and
foster an inclusive culture. We encourage everyone to apply, and to reach out
if you have questions, concerns, or need adjustments to be made.
How to apply
Please send a copy of your CV and a short paragraph
summarising your expertise and interest in this topic to policy@ciwem.org.
Applications are open until 11:59pm Monday 22 January 2024.
